FALLing into Fun at Camp!

FALLing into Fun at Camp

Happy autumn, Chippies…We hope you’re all enjoying the turning of the leaves and the crispy cool air (cool may be an understatement as it actually snowed this morn!). All things Chippewa are well under way…enrollment happened quickly this year with a few remaining spaces in certain age groups – if you’re planning on enrolling, but haven’t yet, please contact Cliff and Lisa right away to verify availability as certain grade waiting lists have been activated.

Staffing is also going smoothly and we already have solidified commitments from many of your favorites, and verbal commitments from nearly all of our fantastic 2006 group. Be sure to check the staff section of the website…we’ll update as often as we can! The first additions will be up this weekend! Also, please send us some news on what is happening in your world! We will be sure to mention you in the November Chip Chat.

During the last weekend in September, Cliff and Lisa headed to camp to enjoy what they thought would be COLORAMA (no girls, not the same Tan and White Colorama that we all know and love, but a giant festival in Minocqua celebrating the Northwoods’ vibrant fall colors). Much to their dismay, they realized Colorama had occurred the weekend previous and they were actually arriving at Camp just in time for BEEFARAMA, another giant festival in Minocqua celebrating all things beef. Touring the streets of downtown Minocqua is certainly an interesting sight, especially when nearly all of the pedestrians are carrying large chunks of beef in their hands. Needless to say, Cliff and Lisa expected to showcase photographs of Colorama in this month’s newsletter (apple cider and leaf-print craft booths), but unfortunately, their only snapshots of Minocqua include hungry herds of beef-eaters. They decided to leave those out (except for the one posted above). However, they took many amazing photographs of camp, complete with a rainbow of colors! Be sure to check them out when they show up at the Off Season Chippy Gallery…
